I am James The Egalitarian Light (artist & author name), and I started this website and magazine in 2019 as an awareness and education art project. The magazine is currently on hold, because... you guessed it – money sucks. Why Money Sucks is the international version, while Why Money $ucks is the USA version. The targeted audience is everyone: our humanity's wage slaves and bottom feeders who are the vast majority of people in the world, and also the savvy profiteers who are swept into their for-profit mentality as opposed to for-living-necessities mentality. The idea was to name the magazine, “All paid jobs absorb and degrade the mind,” which is Aristotle's famous quote, but due to the long name, for the website it was shortened to WhyMoney.Sucks. Still, the magazine's name is shared by both of them, Aristotle's quote and WM$. The content will include social commentary, interviews, and quotes about enduring the detrimental money culture that all humanity entraps itself in. This magazine, just as my book, points fingers to money as the root problem, not just the $ money which is a small fraction of all monetary interactions.... If you are still not certain that the monetary culture is the wrong culture we adapted ourselves to and why just like a biological evolution, a cultural evolution is an adaptive, not perfecting process, you can check out my book How Not To Make Money which will soon be available as a free PDF; or you can check out the FAQ which is a shorter version.... In addition to making this the world's most popular website, my intention for the magazine is for activists all over the world to print their own Why Money Sucks version of this magazine in their own countries, and distribute the copies locally themselves; while you will have to provide me with the information about Why Money Sucks in your country, I will personally provide you with the designed PDF that you can print. If you are a web developer and would like to contribute with the expanding of this project, you can contact me through the message form.. Enjoy the 2019 issue.
